The Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is situated about 50 km from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital town of Kerala. The Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is extending over a wide area of 53 sq. km. on the Western Ghats. The sanctuary was recognized in 1938.
